Our goals for stopping uranium mining in Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon Trust will continue to work on uranium mining issues to ensure that the watersheds of Grand Canyon National Park are protected from uranium development by passage of the Grand Canyon Watersheds Protection Act or by a 20-year mineral withdrawal ordered by the Secretary of Interior.

We have learned enough about the uranium industry’s dismal record to reject their current claims that “uranium mining is much cleaner now.” It’s just not worth it.
