Studied Wildlife Biology at Rutgers University

Managed a 3-year, 4500 acre watershed and wildlife habitat planning project with Utah State Trust
Lands (SITLA) and the Castle Valley community
Helped design 88,000 acre SITLA/BLM land exchange protecting sensitive habitat in eastern Utah
A leader in Castleton Tower Preservation Initiative
Helped create conservation market for SITLA lands in Utah
Helped secure funding for a 530 acre wildlife habitat conservation easement

Laura is currently Utah Programs Director where she manages the Trust’s work on Utah conservation
issues

Advocates for open space preservation on Utah state lands
Travel planning for off-road-vehicles
Mitigation of impacts from oil and gas development on public lands
Work to create voluntary 1% for Open Space Program for Southeast Utah
