Current job description:
Roger rejoined the Trust in 2005 and is currently the Air and Energy Program Director. His work is
focused on preserving and protecting air quality on the Colorado Plateau, promoting the use of
renewable energy, and addressing climate crisis issues.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring major air pollution sources on the Colorado Plateau and oversight of regulatory actions taken
by the Trust against the San Juan, Mojave, and Springerville coal-fired power plants
Advocate for installation of state-of-the-art pollution controls on existing and new power plants, oppose
construction of new, large Plateau pollution sources
Assist in the development of renewable energy projects on the Plateau, particularly on tribal lands
Advocate to limit and reduce greenhouse gasses through public policy initiatives
Promote renewable energy goals through statewide “environmental portfolio standards.”
