Current job description:
Tony rejoined the Trust as Native America Program Director in 2003 after spending 12 years working in
sustainable economic development with the Navajo Nation. The focus of his program is to help reduce
Navajo and Hopi economic dependence on natural resource development by helping create a more
sustainable, diversified economy
Responsibilities:
Coordinate Trust’s work with Hopi and Navajo Nations, tribal communities, and non-governmental
organizations on conservation and sustainable development projects.
Provide culturally appropriate community education on community-based, sustainable economic
development strategies
Collaborate with Tribal and community organizations to create and/or expand model. sustainable
businesses
Assist tribes and community organizations with innovative approaches to resolving conservation issues
