Grand Canyon Trust collects no personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide this information to us. Such information that you may submit is restricted to that which is required to meet your request for information, services, or merchandise or to publicize or promote certain activities of our members and their respective organizations.
What we collect and store automatically
If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website, read pages, or download information, we will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically. Please note that this information does not identify you personally in any way.
We automatically collect and store only the following information about your visit:
- The Internet domain (for example, “your_nonprofit.org”) and IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web) from which you access our website.

We use the information we collect in this fashion to count the number and type of visitors to the different pages on our site, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors like you. If you become a member
The Grand Canyon Trust does not sell its members’ personal information.
If you become a member of the Trust by filling out a membership form we will store your personal information in our database. On the annual renewal form and all future appeals you will be offered an opportunity to “opt out” of having your personal information shared or traded with other like-minded conservation organizations. If you “opt out” your personal information will be tagged as a “do not share file” and this information will not be traded or exchanged.
In addition, at any time a current or expired member may call, write or send an e-mail to the Grand Canyon Trust at info@grandcanyontrust.org and request that their personal information not be traded or exchanged.
It is the policy of the Grand Canyon Trust to honor all requests as described above.
If you join our activist network
If you join the Grand Canyon Trust’s online Activist Network to participate in a letter writing campaign or online petition, each contact will include an opportunity for you to “opt out” of all future Activist Network communications by simply clicking on the “remove” hotlink found on the bottom the issue briefing page that is sent to you.
In addition, at any time a current or past participant in the Activist Network may call, write or send an e-mail to the Grand Canyon Trust at info@grandcanyontrust.org and request that their personal information not be traded or exchanged.
It is the policy of the Grand Canyon Trust to honor all requests as described above.
If you provide your e-mail address
If you provide the Grand Canyon Trust with your e-mail address for any reason you may call, write or send an e-mail to the Grand Canyon Trust at info@grandcanyontrust.org and request that their personal information not be traded or exchanged. You may also request that your e-mail address be deleted from our database.
It is the policy of the Grand Canyon Trust to honor all requests as described above.
Links to other sites
Our website has many links to external websites. In a few cases we link to commercial organizations. When you link to another site, you are no longer on our site and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.
