On February 28, 2007 the Grand Canyon Trust submitted scoping comments on the Long-Term Experimental Plan Environmental Impact Statement for the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon Trust has been involved in Grand Canyon management issues since its inception twenty-one years ago. We were instrumental in the passage of the Grand Canyon Protection Act and have been participating members of the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program (AMWG) since its formation ten years ago.

It is our hope that this EIS process can develop and implement an alternative that will demonstrate leadership in environmental stewardship, and meet the AMP's vision of  "a stewardship worthy of the Grand Canyon."
