Since the closure of Mohave Generating Station on January 1, 2006, many questions have been raised about possible alternative sources of energy to replace the energy once produced at Mohave. Southern California Edison, one of the owners of Mohave, commissioned a study by a global energy consulting company called Sargent and Lundy to determine what the alternatives might be for the future.
