On May 5, 2005 the Bush Administration repealed the widely supported Roadless Area Conservation Rule implemented by President Clinton, which protected 60 million acres of America's last wild National Forests including over 5 million acres in Arizona and Utah. The Grand Canyon Trust has partnered with other conservation organizations to gather citizen signatures on a petition to be presented to decision makers in Washington D.C. demanding the Roadless Rule be reinstated.
