Light kisses the top cliffs in the Grand Canyon

David Taft

Foundations Manager

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”

– Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

After growing up in the lush green hills of New England, David found his way to the craggy peaks and canyons of the West. Following his studies at Colorado College and Colorado State University, he moved to the Western Slope to pursue a path in conservation, environmental education, and public lands protection in the Colorado River Basin. These landscapes, and the relationship he has built with them, have driven David to dedicate his career to ensuring their long-term health and well-being. By spending his time trail running, cycling, skiing, and climbing, he keeps his connection to — and his passion for — protecting these areas thriving.
