Join writer and editor Laura Paskus on Zoom to discuss the anthology “Water Bodies.”

In “Water Bodies: Love Letters to the Most Abundant Substance on Earth,” some of the West’s most thoughtful writers — including Regina Lopez-Whiteskunk, Luke Runyon, and Chris La Tray — reflect on why stories about water stretch back as far as we can remember and that where we find water, we find ourselves.

Please join editor and contributor Laura Paskus, along with Grand Canyon Trust members and volunteers, on Tuesday, March 3 to chat about her work on the book.

Paskus will focus this special talk on our local waters, telling the stories of the waters we love and amplifying the voices of others. All attendees will have a chance to win one of five copies of “Water Bodies.”

Laura Paskus, wearing glasses, a beanie, and a blue jacket, stands outdoors on a dirt path, looking up at the sky with clouds and birds visible in the background.

Praise for “Water Bodies”

“To live in the arid West is to know water as swift and scarce, rebellious and retreating, and essential within and without. In this beautiful anthology, writers, artists, and poets capture the wonder and heartbreak of learning from water in a dry land.”
― MICHELLE NIJHUIS, author of “Beloved Beasts”

“This book packs a narrative, poetic wallop”
― CRAIG CHILDS, author of “Tracing Time”

“These essays flow and rush and collect in pools of wisdom in a drying climate, reminding us that water is a blessing, and the wellspring of our soul.”
― ELIZABETH HIGHTOWER ALLEN, author of “First & Wildest”
