Our goal is to improve and restore natural resources in the Grand Canyon.
Science and law confirm that the following experimental actions are needed to improve Grand Canyon resources. These actions include...
- Releasing regular high flows under sediment-enriched conditions to rebuild beaches and nearshore habitat for native fish
- Using seasonally adjusted steady flows to preserve beach volume and provide for humpback chub spawning and rearing in the mainstem
- Controlling temperature and removing non-native fish to enhance conditions for native fish
- Establishing NPS authority so it can protect Grand Canyon National Park in accordance with federal law
