A resident of southern Utah, Kaya lives in a tiny home she built with her partner and tends to a small garden. She spends ample time exploring wilderness, volunteering with local conservation organizations, getting to know local ecology, and learning about environmental issues that impact the lands she loves. Kaya has been a dedicated volunteer for the Grand Canyon Trust for years and is excited to get into the field to further her knowledge and advocacy. She hopes her work to document land health will help agencies better manage livestock grazing on public lands and allow overgrazed lands to recover.
