The Grand Canyon Trust has several goals for protecting southern Utah lands:

  • To maintain the ecological integrity and wildness of the southern Utah landscape by protecting sensitive state-owned lands from development.
  • To implement a legislative land-exchange policy to prevent the large-scale fragmentation of the southern Utah landscape. An important conservation tool, this policy must be supportable by members of the House Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
