CPE - Zion Conservation

Upgrading our national parks

In 2009, the Trust joined with other conservation groups to pass legislation that designated nearly 125,000 acres of wilderness within and around Zion National Park. The bill also added 165 miles of the Virgin River and its tributaries to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, ensuring that they remain undammed and free-flowing.
