Kamran joined the Trust in 2019 after working as an associate attorney concentrating on the representation of Native Americans and Native American legal issues. A tribal member of Chahta (Choctaw) and Chikasha (Chickasaw) descent, he represented clients in various matters, with his main areas of concentration in water rights, mineral rights, and land management. Kamran graduated with certificates in American Indian law, and energy, environmental, and natural resources law and policy from the University of Colorado Law School. He was fortunate enough to take a two-week journey down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. This monumental experience inspired him to dedicate his career to protecting the Grand Canyon and other invaluable landscapes so that they may stand unmarred through time.
